Our Punjabi Meat Masala captures the bold essence of traditional home kitchens, where aromatic spices are blended to perfection to create a masala that brings out the best in your meat dishes. Perfect for both chicken and mutton, this blend adds warmth, depth, and a signature punch of flavor.
Ingredients
Coriander, Cumin, Mustard, Fennel, Peppercorns, Chana Dal, Cloves, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Mace, Cinnamon, Bay leaves, Star Anise, Kasuri Methi, Chillies, Garlic, Amchur, Turmeric, Dried Ginger, Salt
How to Use
Heat 4 tbsp oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add 2 finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute. Stir in 2 pureed or finely chopped tomatoes and cook until the oil separates. Add 2 tbsp Home Kouzina Punjabi Meat Masala. Add 500g chicken or mutton and sauté for 5-7 minutes until coated with the masala. Lower the heat and add the yogurt. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Add 1 cup of water for chicken (or 2 cups for mutton). Add salt to taste. Cover and cook until the meat is tender and the gravy thickens. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
No need to add Garam masala or other spices. You may adjust salt and chillies to personal preference.
