Also called Poha Masala, Jeeravan masala is a versatile spice blend from Indore, India, known for its unique and flavorful taste.
Ingredients
Red chilli, Salt, Aniseed, Black pepper, Ginger powder, Cumin, Rock salt, Sendha salt, Cloves, Coriander seeds, Cardamom, Saya Jeera,Turmeric, Asafoetida
How to Use
Poha : Jeeravan is the secret ingredient to Indore’s famous poha. After cooking the poha with turmeric, onions, green chilies, and other spices, sprinkle Indori Jeeravan masala on top before serving for the authentic Indori touch.
Fruit Chaat: Sprinkle Indori Jeeravan masala over a bowl of chopped fruits like apples, bananas, grapes, and pomegranates for a spicy and tangy twist. Add to steamed or roasted corn too.
Sprinkled on Snacks: Indori Jeeravan masala can be used as a finishing spice on various snacks to elevate their flavor. Sprinkle it on potato chips, fries, roasted nuts, or popcorn. It can also be used on traditional Indian snacks like samosas, kachoris, or pakoras to give them an extra kick of flavor.
Dahi (Curd) Preparations: Mix a pinch of Indori Jeeravan masala into plain curd/yogurt to make a quick and flavorful raita. You can also sprinkle it on top of dahi puri, dahi vada, or any yogurt-based salad for added zest.
Paranthas : Add some Jeeravan Masala to your Parantha stufffing for that extra flavour. Or just sprinkle on top of a plain parantha and have with a drizzle of ghee.
